the weird aesthetic of (no) capital letters

I am not a native English speaker. While I consider myself quite fluent in English, I lack the nuances that only a native speaker can have. My knowledge comes from years of studying and absorbing content in English.

I was always taught to use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence and in the names of places and people. However, along the way, people seemed to start and abandon capitals while writing. “Well, it’s not that important. Actually, I would rather not use capitals at all.”

At first, I was rattled. What? Why would you do that? When I looked at texts without capitals, I thought, "That is wrong." It seemed very ugly, as if something was not right.

A few years have passed, and people still do this more often than I would expect. I see it in blog posts, memes, messaging, and practically everywhere. I’ll admit, it started to grow on me. When I looked at the title of this post, I thought, “Hmm, that looks so nice without any capitals—so relaxing, almost soothing.”

What is the point here? I’m not sure, but it is the art of noticing the changes in my viewpoints, and I like it.
