Re: Bug Club Buy Me A Coffee Sports
Framing my writing is a hard task. Giving it a beginning, a middle, and an end, putting together a storyline, sometimes seems like an impossible task.
I've read many blog posts recently. Ever since I joined Bear Blog, I’ve gotten to know so many great writers. A lot of the posts I see are excellent pieces of writing and give me inspiration to write on my own.
But then, even though I try to keep a list of ideas for blog posts, sometimes I just sit in front of my computer, wanting to write but not knowing what or how. I have many floating ideas in my mind, and I’m just not sure how to combine them all together (if they even should coexist in a single post).
This is exactly what goofpunk write about in Bug Club Buy Me A Coffee Sports:
Sometimes I get the urge to write something, but I sit down and don't know what to say...So I sat down just now and opened BBEdit, and I'm going to write a bit stream-of-consciously and see what happens
The first part resonated with me — I have felt that exact feeling many times. The second part is somewhat of a solution — just write whatever comes to your mind. Things may not coherently connect, but that’s okay.
And reading the post, it was okay. It was even more than that — I truly enjoyed the roller coaster of reading that "stream-of-consciously." It felt like I was getting a sneak peek into the raw writing process.
My takeaway here is — just write; structure is not necessary. If you happen to find a structure, that’s great, but writing unrelated thoughts can be a lot of fun as well.
