I Will Not Let My Phone Battery Control Me

“You should only charge your phone at night,” a friend of mine says. “Absolutely not,” says another. “You must wait until your phone reaches 0 percent and only then charge it. Also, never charge it beyond 80%; it will ruin the lithium.”

I don’t know what is true. I have zero knowledge about batteries and their best practices, and frankly, I’m fine with staying like this. I bought my phone as a tool in my life — the phone battery should help me, not vice versa.

I don’t want to operate based on what may be good for the longevity of the battery. I want to charge my phone whenever I want to, and that’s it.
